Structure Of The Diminished Arpeggio

The diminished arpeggio is built by stacking two minor thirds (from the root A to the minor third C and from C to the diminished fifth E-flat). This structure is not only found in the diminished chord, but also in extended chords in transposed form. For detailed analysis, see our study on superimposing arpeggios.
