Structure Of The Major 7th Arpeggio

The major 7th arpeggio is built by stacking a major third (from the root A to the major third C-sharp) followed by a minor third (from C-sharp to the fifth E) and a major third (from E to the seventh G-sharp). This structure is not only found in the maj7 chord, but also in extended chords in transposed form. For detailed analysis, see our study on superimposing arpeggios.
