Fingering of the Melodic Minor Scale in Seven Positions

The melodic minor scale in A consists of the notes A, B, C, D, E, F# and G#. A distinct fingering is formed from each of these seven steps, named by melodic church mode I-VII and its root A marked by a circle. To play the pattern in a different key, it must be moved according to the transposing table.
