Structure of the minor 9th arpeggio jamtrack

This play along jamtrack opens up with the arpeggiated Am9 chord played by the string orchestra to set the scene for this atmospheric track. Start playing the minor 9th arpeggio exercises after the following two measures of double bass and you will be able to play the entire piece as demonstrated in the video. The notation at the top of the page is taken from the Jamtracks PDF and shows the double bass part. Even though the bass clearly outlines a cadence of | I | IV V | I IV bVII | (see chords in brackets), the sustaining orchestra and the repeating harp figure hold out the same dreamy Am9 chord over these changes transforming it into a drone which is only resolved by the quick change to the dominant E major chord.
