Intervals of the major scale in seven positions

The major scale is built from the intervals root (1), second (2), major third (3), fourth (4), fifth (5), sixth (6) and major seventh (j7). To reach these notes in all positions on the guitar neck, seven distinct fingerings are formed and given the names of church modes I-VII. To move these patterns to other keys than A major, use the transposing table.
