Modes of the harmonic minor scale in intervals

The harmonic minor scale consists of 7 different notes. Starting from each of these notes, a separate mode can be formed:

  1. note root: Aeolian j7 (1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, j7)
  2. note major second: Locrian j6 (1, b2, b3, 4, b5, 6, b7)
  3. note minor third: Ionian #5 (1 , 2, 3, 4, #5, 6, j7)
  4. note pure fourth: Dorian #4 (1, 2, b3, #4, 5, 6, b7)
  5. note pure fifth: Phrygian j3 (1, b2, 3, 4, 5, 6, b7)
  6. note minor sixth: Lydian #2 (1, #2, 3, #4, 5, 6, j7)
  7. note major seventh: Mixolydian #1 (#1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, j7)
