Modes of the natural minor scale in intervals

The natural minor scale consists of 7 different notes. Starting from each of these notes, a separate mode can be formed:

  1. note root: Aeolian (1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, b7)
  2. note major second: Locrian (1, b2, b3, 4, b5, b6, b7)
  3. note minor third: Ionian (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, j7)
  4. note perfect fourth: Dorian (1, 2, b3, 4, 5, 6, b7)
  5. note perfect fifth: Phrygian (1, b2, b3, 4, 5, 6, b7)
  6. note minor sixth: Lydian (1, 2, 3, #4, 5, 6, j7)
  7. note minor seventh: Mixolydian (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, b7)
