Structure of the note location jamtrack

This play along jamtrack has a drum, bass and string quartett intro of six 5/4 measures. Start playing the note location exercises after the snare break and you will be able to play the entire piece as demonstrated in the video. The notation at the top of the page is taken from the Jamtracks PDF and shows the double bass part. It follows the changes through the whole circle of fifths by playing the root, fifth and seventh of its chordal harmony.

A tribute to the jazz standard Take Five, this track is an ingenious masterpiece in its instrumentation and skillful modulation. It's simply amazing how easily it wanders through all the 12 keys of the circle of fifths.
